AREA GUIDE

Enfield is a large district made up of a number of contrasting areas including Enfield Town, Edmonton, Winchmore Hill and Ponders End, just to name a few. The arrival of the railway in 1840 led to the rising population of Victorian terraced houses, and the growth was so rapid that Green Belt laws were imposed after World War Two to prevent further developments into the neighbouring countryside. Situated in north London, and bordering Barnet to the west, Haringey to the south and Waltham Forest to the east.

Enfield boasts a variety of transport connections into Central London, and it continues to grow as a hotspot for commuters as the cost of living is relatively cheap in comparison to other outskirts of London. There are four Piccadilly Line stops in Enfield: Arnos Grove, Southgate, Oakwood and Cockfosters, and Enfield Town train station takes you to Liverpool Street in just 30 minutes. Whilst public transport is in abundance throughout the area, the road networks are also fantastic. The A10 Great Cambridge Road runs throughout the majority of Enfield, linking to both the M25 and A406.

Enfield is a very diverse and multicultural area with a rich history, great restaurants, plenty of shops and leisure facilities. Popular with young professionals, wanting an easy commute into London and families wanting to take advantage of the wide range of great schooling here, Enfield is a hit for all walks of life.
